about

'The Unheard' is a 12 track (+ 5 bonus tracks) song collection of all the songs and tracks The Quiet Revolution recorded between 2009-2012.

You can buy 'The Unheard' for $10 or name a higher price to help support The Quiet Revolution. You can also buy individual tracks for $1 if you prefer that. Any contribution is super helpful because money is a major issue and always gets in the way of recording the gazillion songs that are waiting to be recorded. So... if you like the music and want to help... there's no better way than good old dead presidents.

'The Unheard' follows The Quiet Revolution's first steps from the very first song that The Quiet Revolution ever recorded- 'Parallel Me' to the last 3 songs that were recorded with the help of legendary British producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Oasis, Robbie Williams etc.).

'The Unheard' features 5 songs that were never released before ('Down The Drain', 'Old Habits Die Slowly', 'Madness Falls', 'Noise Free' and 'Song Evaluation System') plus all the previously released songs, tracks and bonus tracks. Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for your support!

Track Name: Parallel Me
On a parallel earth
A parallel me
Met a parallel you
Played out a part
Left out of touch
Right off the wire.

How would it feel
To lose you, my heart,
Guess I’ll never know
‘Cause I’m the lucky one
Parallel me
I’m sorry your life
Ain’t mine.

All my parallel friends
Say parallel you
Was my happy hour
Our parallel lines
May cross in time
But we won't be ourselves.

How would it feel
To lose you, my heart,
Guess I’ll never know
‘Cause I’m the lucky one

Parallel me
I’m sorry your life
Ain’t mine.
Track Name: Paper Says
Paper says
A man with two heads
Was murdered for a hat
He didn’t like
These things- they happen all the time.

Paper says
A door to nowhere
Materialized
And wiped a city blank
These things- they happen all the time.

Angry mob attacks the moon
A talking tree predicts the rain won’t come
It’s all been written down.

Paper says
They found a mermaid
Who tried to live on land
But dried right up
These things- they happen all the time.

Paper says
The gods were wasted
Our fading stars discovered
Trading dust
These things- they happen all the time

Angry mob...

It's all been written down.
Track Name: Underground
Living underground
Had been the safe choice
Had been the sane choice
The day the bomb went off.

I can see the sky
Inside my head
Though I can’t remember
What a bird looks like.

I’m buried underground,
I’m buried underground.

Guessing day or night
Gets rather pointless
When you’re in darkness
And there’s no clear way out.

Never thought I’d miss
The morning traffic
I practice laughing
It’s funny I still care.

I’m buried underground,
I’m buried underground.
Track Name: When The World Was Flat
When the world was flat
We used to go to the edge for a laugh
Throw at the monsters below
Empty words of advice
Then ride home to our castle of brimstone and ice.

When the world was flat
Everything seemed so much simpler to grasp
Nothing could melt us apart
Though the demons sure tried
Catching clouds was as easy as synchronized smiles.

The world keeps on spinning around
The gravity’s strong
It’s pulling me to the ground
And I can’t help but miss
All that ignorant bliss we shared
When the world was still flat.

When the world was flat
We used to travel to uncharted lands
Give them the strangest of names
Now I fail to recall
Every memory frame
Gets replaced by a song.

The world keeps on spinning around
The gravity’s strong
It’s pulling me to the ground
And I can’t help but miss
All that ignorant bliss we shared
When the world was still flat.

My head keeps on spinning around
Your gravity’s strong
It’s pulling me to the ground
And I can’t help but miss
All that ignorant bliss we shared
When the world was still flat.
Track Name: Noise Free
She bought the moon
Just so she’d have somewhere quiet
Where she could hear herself.

Lately she’d been
Screaming but nobody noticed
Might as well scream in space.

Looking way down on earth
Hard to believe it’s noise free.

Talking is cheap
Words are abundantly wasted
While listening takes donations
From the ears.

When she was young
She used to sing by the window
To the man in the moon.

Now that she’s here,
Seems there was no one who heard her
Even then as a kid.

Looking way down on earth
Hard to believe it’s noise free.

Talking is cheap
Words are abundantly wasted
While listening takes donations
From the ears.
Track Name: This Human Zoo
This human zoo I’m in
It's not that bad,
They treat me nice
They feed me almost every day,
I’m even starting to get used
To probing stares,
My life back home
Feels light years from this planet’s face.

The boy next door
Looks like he needs a friend,
Too bad these booths
Are fully soundproof, quarantined,
There was a couple once
Who lived inside his cage,
I guess in time
They might consider us as mates.

I’m on display,
I’m an exhibit,
I wish that I could read the sign
I wear,
I wear.

They come in pairs,
They never say a word,
Just nod their heads
As if agreeing with a fact,
I wonder what they’re thinking
Of our dying race-
Are they amused,
Indifferent,
Or a little sad.

We’re on display,
We’re an exhibit,
We’re not the people that we thought
We were,
We were,
We were.
Track Name: Song Evaluation System
Scarred, tortured,
With an awkward little smile
Traded life for devil hands
And magic strings for his guitar
Listen to the words he spewed
The notes he spat
His music was the air he breathed
A truth he bled.

Then every time you hear a song
Attempt to detect
Between the bars
A shred of love or hate
And filter the ones that are fake.

Scared senseless,
Medicated to the bone,
He had no way out
So he dug inwards deep into his songs,
Listen to the words he carved,
The chords he scraped,
Your prisons will feel saner
Through his grave escape.

Then every time you write a song
Attempt to detect
Between the bars
A shred of joy or hurt
And filter the ones that are fake.

His death
Left us with a living will
It’s like he said:
Between is all we’ve ever seen or been
(or heard).
Track Name: The Wind and the Sad Girl
They met in June
The wind and the sad girl
And he was sure
That he’d be the one
Who will one day decide
That he needs to move on-
He’s the wind, after all.

But to his surprise
The sad girl decided
To blow him off,
She wanted to feel
Just like him,
Burden free,
To run wild
And make trees
Wish their roots were detachable.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.

The trouble with the wind
Is that he can’t forget or die,
He whispers his tale
To the cold window panes,
To the stones in the field,
Though they don’t understand what he says.

Her memory sails
Round and round, growing circles,
With each breath he takes
She glides further away from him.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.
Track Name: Old Habits Die Slowly
Bus stop
Waiting for the next line
It's long overdue
A skeleton holding a briefcase
Tells me he's late.

Ghost girl walking
With her ex dog
Out for a smoke
I ask for the time
She just shruggs and says
Old Habits Die Slowly.

This is my final resting place
I'm turning the 'don't disturb' sign.

Going nowhere
Where am I now
I don't have a clue
Featherless birds circle over me
Still hanging around you.

Dead man walking
Between the bars
Way out of tune
We missed the last trip to happiness
Eons ago.

This is my final resting place
I'm turning the 'don't disturb' sign.
Track Name: Madness Falls
Riding my trained routine,
Dragons cough fireballs at me,
Witches turn lovers into crows,
It’s a long way to Madness Falls.

Taking my daily trip,
Giants throw villages at me,
Dinosaurs betting on meteors,
It’s a long way to Madness Falls.

Spacemen and cavemen
Play tag till the winners
Will exile the losers from earth
And most of these people are clones
But they’ll never know-
Better off that way.

Time for my evening pill
Sirens sing lullabies for me
Mermaids keep begging for a drop
It’s a long way to Madness Falls.

This is the map to me
Down through the rabbit hole, Alice,
Stuck in a memory growing old,
It’s a long way to Madness Falls.

Spacemen and cavemen
Play tag till the winners
Will exile the losers from earth
And most of these people
Are clones but they’ll never know-
Better off that way.

And maybe I’m already gone
Guess I’ll never know-
Better off that way.
Track Name: Down The Drain
Down the drain I went
Riding the back
Of a dead fish
Named Romeo
Going through shit
Heading out to the great blue sea.

Down the drain
I met my unborn children
So much like me
Wrapped up in used paper
Robbed out of life by my own hands.

The ferryman asked for my mortal soul
Crossing the Styx only costs one coin
A small price to pay to gain access to the underworld.

Down the drain
The rats
Were my best friends
Squeaking comfort words
Baring their teeth, grinning
Glittering eyes and devil claws.

“Down the drain”,
They said,
“Under the surface
Must lie the truth-
Everything means nothing
Go with the flow towards nothing new”.

The ferryman asked for my mortal soul
Crossing the Styx only costs one coin
A small price to pay to gain access to the underworld.

The ferryman asked for my mortal soul…
Track Name: All It Takes Is A Whisper
Danielle,
Your lines spell ‘cynical’
Here I thought I was the king.

Life ain’t fair
These hells are dealt to us
Damned if we play them
And damned if we don’t.

All it takes is a whisper
To make the darkest cloud
Blow away.

Danielle,
The gods have been cruel to us
Minds bright as comets in bodies of clay.

Don’t regret
The lives that you didn’t have
I‘ve been an expert
Please trust me on this.

All it takes is a whisper
To make the darkest cloud
Blow away.

All it takes is a whisper.
