lyrics

They met in June
The wind and the sad girl
And he was sure
That he’d be the one
Who will one day decide
That he needs to move on-
He’s the wind, after all.

But to his surprise
The sad girl decided
To blow him off,
She wanted to feel
Just like him,
Burden free,
To run wild
And make trees
Wish their roots were detachable.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.

The trouble with the wind
Is that he can’t forget or die,
He whispers his tale
To the cold window panes,
To the stones in the field,
Though they don’t understand what he says.

Her memory sails
Round and round, growing circles,
With each breath he takes
She glides further away from him.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.

Life changed
The girl to a woman
And sadness to happiness over time
But the wind stayed the wind.
